Description

Located in a quiet subdivision of Carolina Dunes, the Pup Deck sits on the ocean side of NC-12, with the beach less than a quarter mile walk away (with no streets to cross!). The home is also close to the sound, so grab the kayak from the carport and make the most of it, or just enjoy the calm waters at your leisure.

Through the playful use of color and original artwork, every bedroom in this charming home pays homage to a different breed of dog. The owners have also sought to preserve and highlight the features originally designed by local architect Frank Stick. The result is a delightful departure from standard beach house themes. There’s something for everyone in the family here, including your pet!

This home’s uniqueness is rivaled only by its comfort and amenities. It has a private pool and spa. It has two common areas: a Great Room overlooking the sound on the top floor with a 70” smart TV, audio features, and a huge sectional couch that seats eight comfortably, and a Lounge on the middle level with a 50” smart TV, a sound bar, and seating for six. Check out the extensive DVD and book library that appeals to adults and children alike—enjoy movie classics or curl up with a fluffy beach read. Music and home theatre lovers will appreciate the central iPad controllers for Sonos speakers throughout the house to provide a superior audio experience. There are nine wall-mounted 4K smart TVs. For your convenience, they are all the same make and model to standardize the interface.

Internet connectivity is a dream at The Pup Deck. With a commercial-grade network system used by small businesses, your internet and wi-fi experience will be as uninterrupted as your sleep in this blissfully quiet neighborhood.

The ground floor has a newly renovated game room and powder room with modern lighting, flooring, and a beautiful vintage pool table. There’s even an outdoor ping pong table in the carport! The large, well-equipped kitchen offers quality stainless cookware, flatware, dinnerware, and serving pieces to satisfy even the most serious cooks.

All six bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The two master bedrooms on the top floor are even remote-worker-friendly if you need to sneak some work in between beach excursions. This dog-friendly property boasts new, memory foam, king-size mattresses in four of its bedrooms.

At night, this home sparkles like a precious jewel, thanks to gorgeous outdoor lighting that ensures your safety while you enjoy the pool or the spa in the evening.

This was our favorite rental on the Outer Banks. Communication was great, check in was easy and the house was clean and exactly as advertised. The house was perfect for multiple generations to enjoy Thanksgiving together. The kitchen was well appointed, all switches clearly labeled, and there was something for everyone. The Pup Deck 2023 Vacation

The Pup Deck, and Beach Realty, provided a top notch vacation for our family of twelve. Family member ages range from 84 years old down to 3. The two king bedrooms with a private bath for each, on the main floor (top) level, was perfect for the older generations. The two Jack and Jill bedroom set ups, again with private baths in each one, was perfect for the two young families with children. The game room and private pool was enjoyed by all. The house was very clean, and has been kept up to date. The kitchen is very well stocked! Plenty of dishes, baking dishes, glasses and so on. Even the light switches are labeled! The location is perfect! The ocean is just a 2-3 minute golf cart ride straight up the street and the town of Duck was a short 15 minute bike ride from the house. Very convenient! Beach Realty was excellent! They were very helpful every step of the way, in planning for our stay. They even got us hooked up with a professional photographer for family photos! Thank you, Pup Deck and Beach Realty, for making our family vacation so enjoyable!

Perfect beach week

We loved our week at The Pup Deck. The house was clean and stocked with everything we could need, including assorted kitchen spices. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and there is ample seating for the family in the living room. The pool is wonderful with lots of lounge chairs, and the hot tub was a great way to end the day. Nice location with a short walk to the ocean with a lifeguard stand at the end of the road
Our two dogs loved all the thoughtful extras like a dog bed in the screened in porch. We all enjoyed the retro video game and the pool table! I've already recommended the house to friends and will be back again!

The home was well appointed. 3 types of coffee makers, plus a french press. Full compliment of dishes, cups, glassware, cookware. Indeed a fully furnished home. Light switches are all labeled. Truly felt like home. Even for just a week.

Pup Deck August 2022

This house is better and brighter in person. It’s bigger and cleaner than in the photos. It fit our family and the beds were very comfortable, even for my 3 guys who are over 6’2”. There was space for everyone and the dogs were very happy! The kitchen is larger, more modern, and better equipped than in the photos. The book collection was outstanding. It’s a short walk to the sound and the beach. The cute town center is only 1.2 miles away, a blessing when the traffic was slow. The pool was great to jump into after a very hot day at the beach or in the evening after dinner. We were able to have the space and time to spread out, and to truly relax. No worries about making beds or finding towels. We’ll be back!
