Description

Sandy Dream is a second level oceanfront luxury condominium, featuring spectacular ocean views from two private decks. This spacious retreat features a three bedroom floor plan as well as two living rooms and two full baths. Nothing has been overlooked in designing this quality oceanfront condominium, the ultimate in vacation accommodations.

Some amenities you can look forward to are a huge marble walk-in shower off the Master bedroom with Kohler fixtures that include 8 shower heads, 2 of which are from the ceiling. The granite top sink/vanity is a perfect match. The guest bath also includes a granite top sink/vanity that complements a Kohler whirlpool tub. Other amenities include a dishwasher, washer/dryer, central AC/heat and ceiling fans. Kick back during the evenings in front the Big Screen HDTV with digital cable. Smart TVs, books and games.

** No Pets. Please note: RVs, boats and trailers are prohibited from parking at Scrimshaw II. Two vehicles per unit.

Impressed with lift on side of house, so you didn't have carry luggage etc up 2 flight of stairs.

What a great area.... Close to a bunch of restaurants, grocery store(s) within a block.... Beach area not crowded although all condos seemed to be rented... very nice area...

Picturesque View

We have been going to OBX for years, but have never rented a condo prior. Pricing has pushed us out of renting individual houses so we were a little apprehensive of a condo, however, this condo was amazing. The condo was clean, kitchen was fully stocked with anything necessary, and the views were breathe taking. Although a little more crowded than we are used to in the past, the beaches were still beautiful and not overly crowded.

A pearl in the sand

We really got lucky with this rental. Very nice condo with allot of updates & special little conviences that make it even more special. All rooms have TV's, a Keurig coffee maker, a master bath to die for & a rear deck facing the ocean that makes mornings & evenings to die for. This is perfect for couple with a pair of teenagers. Two couples or a couple with 2 or 3 small children. Only draw back is 3 flight of stairs to get to the front door, but at least they have a dumb waiter to help with luggage/ supplies.

We loved the location directly on the beach. As we were on the second floor, we enjoyed beach views from the cooler balcony even on rainy days. The two living rooms and multiply balconies provided ample space for everyone. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The only problem we encountered was easy access to the beach. I wish a boardwalk/stair extended over the dunes. I know that is an environmental challenge, but other properties down the beach did such. The dune was hard to climb from the beach to the condo with beach supplies in tow.

Great place to stay! Perfect for our family of 4 but could definitely hold more. A short walk to the ocean with no other public access close so plenty of beach space. Very clean. Hard to find was our only issue & bring your own TP! Minor details. Would stay again!

An amazing week at Sandy dream!

Our family of 5 had the most amazing week staying at sandy dream. The location was perfect with small children as we were just steps from the beach and close to all local attractions. Everything was clean and up to date. We are already looking for our next trip back!

One of the nicer condos in OBX!

The condo was exactly what we expected and more. We had a family of 7 this year. Plenty of room. Very clean, tons of updates, every thing that we needed in the kitchen, which was great since we cook-in 4-5 meals during the week. Steps from the beach - which was not crowded at all. The deck is a perfect place to watch the sunrise and drink your morning coffee/tea. The shower in the master bedroom is a nice amenity, unless you're the last one using it, then you might run out of hot water (but this didn't happen in the guest bathroom). The only oddity was that you share the steps to the beach with the top floor condo and the bottom floor condo which felt a little intrusive at times. Would definitely stay again or recommend to family & friends.

Nice Memories

This 3 bedroom condo was just what we all needed, space to be alone and places to be together. It is well maintained, the kitchen was stocked with the essentials and more things that surprised me, having a washer/dryer was helpful in reducing the amount of clothing needed to pack. The balcony was large with multitude of sitting spaces/hammock and faced the Ocean which promoted relaxation. Plenty of parking for guests. Good location and easy access to food shopping/other stores. Various restaurants and attractions close.

Great Ocean Views

We just spent a week in Sandy Dream. The deck is perfect for relaxing and gazing at the ocean. We loved sitting in the high chairs so that we could see over the railing. The interior is very nicely decorated and comfortable. You may want to consider bringing your own kitchen knives as those provided weren't sharp enough to cut even a bagel or an apple. Everything else was perfect.

Loved staying at Sandy Beach condo. Beach Realty was wonderful to work with! Everything was online from check in to check out and they were available by phone to assist when my entry code would not work. Turned out to be user error on me and not a problem with them at all!! Will definitely use them again and hope to stay in same unit.

The place was nice. But it was dirty and the shower didn't drain at all. So by the time you were done u were standing in dirty water.

Wonderful June Stay

This was our first time staying in Kill Devil Hills and we were not disappointed. The location of the condo was great. We could walk to and from the beach easily, which is great with children. The condo was clean, comfortable, and stylish. The beds were comfortable and the master shower was amazing. Also, the cargo lift was key in getting all of our stuff from our car into the condo with ease (especially with all the equipment needed for a baby). The only very small complaint I would have is that just a few household items were missing that I thought would be included (this may have been due to extra precautions due to COVID-19). There were no dish or kitchen towels and no salt and pepper. There was plenty of dishes and kitchen equipment, but if you plan to do any cooking, you will need to bring all the basics. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!

We love the beach in the off season. Sandy Dream is in a quiet area (at least it was quiet in October). We spent a lot of time on the decks watching the waves. At night, we turned opened the door in the master bedroom and let the ocean sounds lull us to sleep. The kitchen was well stocked, but it could use a few staples such as salt and pepper. The towels were plentiful and the condo was very clean when we arrived. Scrimshaw is in a great area, close to grocery stories and restaurants.

Fantastic location, beautiful home

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and we absolutely loved it. The rental is convenient to everything in town, and the view from the back deck can't be beat! We loved being able to walk straight out to the beach! The rental is beautifully furnished, and has all the amenities and comforts of home, plus the sight and sound of the ocean through the sliding glass doors. We had a wonderful week and would definitely stay here again in the future!

The location and layout were great. There were no towels upon our arrival, but the management company had them delivered very promptly. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that I would change is all of the beds were very uncomfortable.

The current owner acquired this property in late spring and did not have enough time to get new mattresses before the first guest. While they made a ton of upgrades and improvements the mattresses got on the 2020 list. So, next year, we are happy to tell you that mattresses will be replaced! We hope to see you next summer!
