Wake up in the morning to sip coffee on your screened in porch or venture out to the back yard for a day of fishing! (Catch and Release Only) Featuring an open and spacious floor plan, everyone in your family can gather together for meals or enjoy more private moments on one of the many decks overlooking the lake! The top level also features a loft, perfect for diving into a novel or simply enjoying some peaceful reflections.

Just a short stroll from the house, your toes are in the sand. Spend the day relaxing in the sun, catching waves, or walking along the pristine beaches of the Atlantic Ocean in search of seaglass to bring home as a memoir of your vacation to the Outer Banks. At night, enjoy cooking out on the charcoal grill, sipping wine out on the deck, and building memories with your family that will last a lifetime. Don't forget to bring your fur babies along for the family vacation! This home is pet-friendly.

Casa La Playa is located in the Sanderling Community featuring natural surroundings of a bird sanctuary, nature paths, sound accesses, community pool and tennis (pool free tennis for a nominal fee). An Outer Banks vacation experience is not complete without a visit to the award-winning Spa at Sanderling. After a busy day on the beach or exploring the surrounding area, the Spa at Sanderling is the perfect destination for your physical and mental rejuvenation. With views of the tranquil Currituck Sound, its ten treatment rooms offer coastal and seasonally inspired massage, body and facial treatments. The spa provides packages, special event and group offerings.

Winter Escape

Good holiday getaway with our family and dog. We enjoyed walking on the beach during the day and in the evening in the light of the full moon. We even took chairs and books to the beach one day and enjoyed beachtime in our down jackets!

Nice location

If you're looking for an affordable house close to beach access this house is nice. The living room furniture is rather dated but comfortable enough. We reported ants in the kitchen the first day but no one ever came to check or provide a solution so that was disappointing and a bit frustrating. The realty management company is very hard to reach and does not return phone calls. Nothing can dampen our love for the Outer Banks though!

Looking back at the week, I do see that we had a pest control vendor come out to spray for ants. Unfortunately, it seems that this occurred at the end of the week as we were waiting on an outside vendor to address this. We apologize if you had a difficult time getting through to us; however, I do see where we texted you on your arrival date when you needed your entry code to access the property again. We do not show there was any further attempt to reach out to us after that point. It sounds like you enjoyed your stay, despite the hiccups!

We have stayed in various houses in the Duck area and Casa La Playa has been the best. The house was exceptionally clean and maintained. The mattresses upstairs were a bit hard. Consider bringing a foam mattress topper. Otherwise, this us a great place for a beach stay.

A beautiful place to spend a week at the beach

The property is on a lovely wooded lot that backs up the a pond. The backdrop couldn't have been more calming, and we made liberal use of the screened in porch for meals, reading, and relaxation. The walk to the beach access is short, and you'll be on the beach in 5-10 minutes. The house is well provisioned and we found all that we needed in the kitchen for meal prep. Our only complaint is the bedding. The mattresses in both upstairs rooms (the twins and the double) are very very firm. A couple inches of memory foam mattress topper would go a long way. A couple of us ended up sleeping on couches because of this. Not the biggest inconvenience (and the couches were comfortable), but felt it was worth mentioning. We would rebook this property again, but would maybe bring our own mattress topper. The bed in the master has one and that portion of our group slept comfortably.

Tree Tunnel Sanctuary

We had a great week at Casa La Playa. The grand kids enjoyed fishing in the adjacent pond while the wind made it impossible to fish in the ocean. Nothing big, but lots of fun. We always enjoy shopping at the spice and tea exchange and eating at NC Coastal, Red Sky, Village Table and Coastal Cravings. The house is well equipped with everything from beach chairs to kitchen essentials. The streets are lined with live oaks that form a gorgeous canopy tunnel and the paths that interconnect the neighborhoods provide fun opportunities to walk or ride bikes.

Unbelievably clean home! Comfortable bed. Quiet, pretty neighborhood with a long nature trail running through for several miles. Home is nestled in trees with sunning options on the top deck. 4 minute walk to wonderful, wide, unpopulated (in April) beach where our little dog could run to her heart’s content.

this rental was a pleasant surprise in a very nice location where houses are nicely separated and rather private. It was well equipped and within an easy walk to the beach. We would rent again.

Great Time!

The house combines a forested (Live Oak) site with proximity to the Ocean. The house is clean, well equipped and has some unexpected features such as a two car garage, beach chairs and umbrellas. We fished in the pond and caught a bass and in the ocean. We easily rode bike routes north and south. There are plenty of good restaurants, but NC Coastal in Duck is worth a try. Beach Realty was very helpful.

Nice house on a quiet street

Very satisfied with the house which was even better than the pictures online. Short walk to the beach which was less crowded than most of Duck. Would rent again.

Casa La Playa is nicely decorated, comfortable and well maintained. As a bonus, even in late November, we were able to enjoy the decks and screened area. Overall, we really liked the house. Our only complaint would be that the single beds creak with just the slightest movement. The neighborhood is attractive and very close to the beach and sound. Although close to the main road, it is exceptionally quiet. Beach Realty were very good at sending information to us and we would recommend them and the property. We mostly shopped at the Harris Teeter in Corolla and visited the boardwalk in Duck and beaches in Duck, Corolla and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge.

We had a wonderful time! This was the most thoughtfully appointed beach house I have ever stayed in. Everything from a well stocked kitchen to beach gear to a patio with dog gates. We loved the backyard on the pond with a swing. The one thing that would have made it perfect was a comfortable couch. The house was all hard seating. But everything else was wonderful, and it was only 5 minutes from the beach!

Relaxing Duck Vacation

The house was clean and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Beds were comfortable. Nice short walk to the beach. The trail around the lake was nice for walking the dog. The screened in porch was very relaxing. The folks at Beach Realty were very helpful and kept us informed on the status of our rental. Would definitely rent this house again.

We enjoyed our stay here - the house is very well equipped and convenient to the beach. We enjoyed our off-season stay. The gated decks were perfect for our dogs to safely sit outside. It was sheltered so the decks were good for us to sit outside even when it was cool and windy on the beach. I highly recommend an off season stay. The beach was beautiful at night and early mornings with the amazing starry skies and no one else around. We were glad to have taken extra comforters though because the summer bedding provided was too light for the winter. I wished the 3rd bedroom had a double bed and a twin instead of 2 twin beds. That would have been better for a couple.

Beautiful Property at the Beach!

We really loved staying at Casa La Playa. The neighborhood trees were gorgeous! Blue Herons in our backyard daily! Only a short walk to the beach. The house is very private. It is cozy but still spacious. Loved it!!

Perfect Family Vacation

New to Outer Banks, this home provided everything we wanted in home away from home for a week. We traveled with twin babies and a two year old and was beyond impressed with our rental! The beach was a quick walk and other activities were within a reasonable driving distance! I would highly recommend to anyone considering a week long get away! The only downside would be the gnats... but it wasn't just a house problem, they were everywhere due to the season!

Beautiful house, perfect location!

We loved staying at Casa La Playa! The house was a perfect location, two minutes walk to a beautiful quiet beach and 5 minutes drive to the center of Duck. The house itself is well equipped and is furnished very tastefully and comfortably, perfect for our family (2 kids and my husband and I) and its dog friendly so we got to bring our fur baby too. There were beach chairs, umbrellas and some beach toys to play with, and it was great that linen and towels were included (which were all to a high standard) so we only had to bring our beach towels. All in all we had a fantastic stay, we highly recommend!
