Awesome Place!

The house was great! Had enough room for the 11 of us and more could have stayed. Had a beach wagon, toys, chairs, etc. For the beach did not need to bring anything! The house is also in a great location, very close to Food Lion and all the different eating spots. Would definitely recommend! The owner was also amazing, text me food recommendations and checked on us, overall great experience!

Our forever rental

We had a wonderful visit to the southern shores! It was our second trip there, this time we stayed in 2 houses next to one another so more families could be there. The short walk to the beach was simple. The backyard and pool provided fun and privacy when we needed to retreat from the busy road out front. The home was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the small sand volleyball court and the private pool. The walk to the beach was very short and there were hardly any others sharing the beach with us. If you are looking to play pool the tables a little slanted. However the beds were very comfortable.

This great home was perfect for your family. The back yard is fantastic. The baby gates were especially nice as we had a 15 month old and our dogs with us. We would definitely rent this house again The pool table could use some TLC, but that certainly is not a deal breaker. Thank you for a wonderful and memory filled vacation!!! We had such an amazing time at this wonderful property! The house was everything we could have wished for. It was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and better than the pictures. The owners left a very thoughtful welcome gift. They reached out the day of check in to say hello. They sent us an incredible list of activities/food options tailored to our desires. Our family of three generations, including an active 3yo, enjoyed this vacation home. The fenced yard provided a great space to exercise our two dogs and our grandchild loved the playground area. The house was clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked with games and movies. There are plenty of dishes, pots & pans, and glasses in the kitchen. All the appliances are top-of-the-line.

Relaxing & convenient. House was wonderful and spotless. Great location except for traffic noise on busy main road. Kitchen is small for size of house and has a lot of punch points. Company emails far too often. Nonetheless, would stay here again, especially at December price.

Perfect Rental

This was our second time visiting the OBX but have rented homes several times. I have to say that this home was hands down the most well stocked and thoughtful rental we have stayed in. The layout of the home, the pool, hot tub, pool table, pool toys, dual refrigerators and dishwashers were all used. The house was extremely clean as well. The owner even called to welcome us on our first night. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the home. The only issue I had was with the mattress I slept on....but that's objective depending on what you're used to. Otherwise everything was perfect. The location was great as well. The only suggestion that would make King Beech even more perfect is a privacy fence separating this home from the identical one next door. We didn't care much for seeing or hearing the family next door or having their dog and our dog bark at one another repeatedly since they could see each other. That was easily fixable by making ours go inside, but that is no fault of the house nor the owners. I also appreciate King Beech allowing pets. We are responsible pet owners and want to make sure we do our part to keep pet friendly rentals available. Thank you to the owners for having such a perfect place and sharing it with us. Everything that could have been thought of, was.

Great Vacation Spot!

We had an amazing time at King Beech. The house is very close to the beach, which made walking with kids manageable. The pool and volleyball court gave us other options for staying busy when we weren't oceanside. The house is lovely and we had plenty of space for everything. Two refrigerators and two dishwashers are a great bonus. We also love that the house has three king bedrooms and that every bedroom has an attached bathroom. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience.

For the most part, the property was great.
When we arrived, the cleanliness was not what we expected - there was a Cheerio in the middle of one bedroom on the ground floor and a potato chip on the floor on the same level. There was a puzzle piece in the sitting area on that floor. We found that the silverware was not clean (we re-washed most of it - I think that the left hand dishwasher did not work as well as the right-hand one.
The couch in the main living room had one cushion that was very ripped on the back side (stuff coming out)
we appreciated the text reminders for garbage and recycling days.
But overall, we were happy there and had a very good time.

Fun Home!!

Our family had a great time at King Beech. It was perfect for the age of our children ranging from 2 to 14. The pool hot tub volleyball court and the play yard swing set were perfect and well used. There were ample chairs around the pool which was very nice. The bedrooms were all nice and the beds were comfortable. The home was clean. I would say it could have used a little updating on the kitchen table chairs and the bar stools. They were a bit worn and very heavy to move around. But otherwise it was a comfortable home with lots of games and books for us to read if we so chose. The location was nice and walked to the beach wasn't very long.

Great Rental for Families

Very functional house for a family of 12. Backyard was great with the volleyball court, horseshoe pit and playground.Hot tub was excellent. Experience in late May would have been improved a bit if pool were heated. House inside was very well provisioned. There was nothing that was needed that was not at hand. Everything was very functional and more than met our needs.

Perfect for a family vacation

We picked King Beech for our yearly family vacation. This year we had 11 people and we could not have been happier. There was more than enough space and activities for the kids to do. The beach was an easy walk, and wasn’t too crowded which is always nice. They had a service come mid week to clean the pool and hot tub which was a huge bonus. Had to call upon arrival for extra sheets/towels, and once for a broken coffee pot, and both were delivered almost immediately. We give King Beech 5 stars, highly recommended!!!! Thank you for the wonderful vacation memories :)

Wonderful Vacation

The house was beautiful and large. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of 13. The pool was beautiful but we were a bit disappointed with the yard. There is a wasp nest somewhere under the deck and there are wasp flying all around the pool and yard. It was hard to let the kids play in the yard with all of them and all the spiders and pickle plants. The yard could use a good bug spray and then it would have been a perfect house.

Rental was as described. Only issue was spiders (a lot of them and nests) on the playground equipment. Called the property mgmt company and someone came out three days later. Didn't stop our fun, and was out only complaint.

Beautiful Home with all the Amenities!!

This home had everything we needed and more! We hosted a family reunion of 50+ guests and everything got used from the board games, pool, hot tub, horseshoes, playground, volleyball court and more! The 2 refrigerators and dishwashers definitely came in handy. The rental company called on Saturday at 1pm to advise the house was ready and we could check in even though it was before the 4pm check in time. The first night, at 1am, we realized 2 of the bedrooms didn't have sheets and we called the afterhours number and they were delivered within 30 minutes. We were hesitant about calling that late at night but everyone we spoke with was very pleasant and apologetic. Even the owner called during the week to check on everything. Already discussing our next stay 2019!

Very nice rental!

The house checked all of our boxes! It was very spacious for our large family. The backyard was very nice and private. Proximity to the beach was great, but the sand and water at the beach were both pretty rough and when high tide came in the beach was too short to really enjoy - made having that private pool all that more important!

This house was perfect for our large multiple family vacation! Great to spend day at beach and hang poolside at night. Horshoes and volleyball are a plus! House was equipped with anything we needed. I do want to poin out that this area has a 10 pm noise curfew, we were unaware of that. One neighbor did say something one night but once we turned off the music, all was good!

Thanksgiving 2016

Rental week was very good Kitchen was well stocked. Two dishwashers and refrigerators were all used. GREAT to have baby equipment. Backyard was wonderful.

Amazing Vacation !

The home was great. Each bedroom has own bathroom, which allowed all to own personal residence. Backyard was fun for all ages. Showers outside were a plus to keep beach sand outside. Laundry room was so nice. Kitchen was well equipped with 2 frigerators, 2 dishwashers--able to keep all used dishes clean. It was the best vacation for all 4 families. The frig downstairs was a plus--things at finger tips for pool & outdoor fun.

Our stay at King BEEch

We had a great time at King BEEch. The weather was great, the company was fantastic. We would stay at this house again. It was clean, the house was big (we had a large group), and the swimming pool was the perfect size. The house was in walking distance to the beech, the only draw back was you have to cross over Route 12. Although the traffic did stop to let you cross. We drove to Duck multiple times, had Duck donuts, went shopping in Corolla and visited a light house. Great time had by all would stay here again.

Family Vacay Southern Shores

This was by far one of the best rental properties we have ever had. The yard was probably the best part of the house as we had 8 children under the age of 8 and it was perfect for their needs as well as the parents. The kitchen was well stocked with 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers as well as plates/glasses/silverware/2 coffee pots and much more. The bedrooms were great each with its own tv. Living room had plenty of seating as well as a flat screen tv....plenty of seats for dining area....there was a renters closet with beach chairs/rafts/noodles/horseshoes. Plenty of parking area in front of house....short distance to beach with 2 public access routes (also beach parking pass). Easy access to stores/restaurants. As you can see we were very impressed. Thanks for a great stay.

Our Stay at King Beech Rental Property

The house was very neat and tidy and no maintenance calls were required. The pool and hot tub were checked during the week and cleaned to our satisfaction. The owner of the property called us during our stay - I thought that was a nice touch. The only problem we had was w/the rental company, Beach Realty. The property has passes for beach parking, however, we couldn't find these in the home. When we called the rental office, we were told by the agent that she would have to figure it out and call us back. She never bothered to call back and we never received parking permits. If this item was in the "too hard to do box," I'm glad we didn't need to phone in a really serious problem such as a maintenance call or lock-out.

great house windy weather

The house exceeded our expectations. It was huge and clean. Loved the big yard and pool. Loved the baby gates and playground. The owner evened called to check on our stay.

Very clean home with plenty of room. So many things to do games, video games, pool, hot tub, volleyball, books, movies and a pool table. Decks everywhere!

Great Holiday!

We stayed at the house for a family reunion. The house was HUGE and accommodated everyone wonderfully. The outside was as gorgeous as the inside. The grass was perfect. Our kids loved it!

Nice Break from Routine

We had a nice time getting away for spring break. The weather was cool, but mainly sunny. The house was comfortable and well appointed. The kids enjoyed the volleyball court, but we were off season so the pool wasn't an option. It would be nice to return in the summer. Just a short walk to the beach made dog walking easy. The only downside was that it is noisy since we were right on the main road, but overall we had a great time relaxing, exploring the Outer Banks, and would do it again.
