The rental was great!! Clean! Had a pool table, hot tub and pool! These things were a God sent, bec we were red flagged for all but one of the days we were there! Wish the pool was heated, it was cold! We had Great Food from local restaurants!!

Great VACA home

This vacation home is one of our favorites and we will continue to rent until we grow out of the space! The floors need a good deep cleaning though and upgraded mattresses would be awesome!

Carolina Kai II - June 2023

Carolina Kai II had all of the amenities for our family. The kitchen is well stocked - having a second frig in the pool table room was great for drinks. The home is close to the beach and you can watch the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. You need to cross the road for beach access - but the speed limit is 25 and there was little traffic. Pool and hot tub were perfect with no issues. Trundle bedroom has little to no ventilation - we were fortunate to have a fan with us - it was still hot for sleeping. The only other downside to the property was the washing machine. By the end of the week I had to use the laundromat. It needs to be replaced. I actually had clothes ruined that we needed to throw out. One recommendation for maintenance would be the floors. We are here at the beginning of the season and the bottom level at the pool table is filthy. The floor needs to be cleaned. Recommendations for newbies - OBX Kayaks have amazing tours! And Nor'banks sailing is the one to pick for jetskiing, para sailing etc. I would definitely stay here again if the laundry facilities were replaced. With a family of 5 that is important.

The house was great short walk to the beach the top deck could use some repairs the pool was nice size and the hot tub was very nice the kids really enjoyed the pool table . The house was close to everything we liked it so much that we booked it for next year.

This home is in a great location and has great amenities! The pool is the perfect size and convenient for kids. The house was very neat and clean, however the floors could use a good scrubbing. There are several deck boards that need replaced and the washing machine worked very poorly. It would also be nice if the mattresses were upgraded. Otherwise, we will continue to rent this home until we outgrow it!

Great house and location! Has everything required for a wonderful beach get away. My family enjoyed our time there with the close proximity of the beach, attractions, restaurants, etc. The pool was without saying very popular also. Great house for 10 people

The house was in good clean order when we arrived. Early check in was great! We got an early start to our vacation. The kitchen area was plenty big enough and well equipped. We cooked in for breakfast all week except for one breakfast out. We packed lunch for the beach and cooked 4 dinners in. The pool was nice, didn’t care for the rocks in backyard though. The big bedrooms were fine, the bunk bed room didn’t get enough air conditioning, would recommend bringing a fan. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our week.

Perfect beach house for our family needs! Amazing kitchen, comfortable living room, plenty of seating. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Nice view of the ocean even though it is not ocean front. Pool was nice but it was a bit chilly on our stay. Game room was cool with audio system a plus. Need some Wii games and movies in house. The only thing needed in this rental is new beds. They were ok. Need updated. Otherwise great!!

Family OBX trip 2019

We enjoyed our stay at Kai II during our 2019 family vacation. The pool and hot tub were great to have and the pool kept the kiddos busy! The house was pretty kid friendly, we had 4 infants and two young children and we all were comfortable during our stay. An additional baby gate for the multiple stair ways would be a good addition to the home. Other than that, we had all we needed. The cleanliness of some of the bedrooms upon arrival wasn’t the greatest and if you plan to arrive early, make sure you pay for early check-in. Beach Realty was a stickler about this and we were not allowed in the house until about 20 minutes to 4, so be sure to have plenty of activities or plan something to do until your rental is ready.

Wonderful Beach House!

This beach house is perfectly located with a beautiful view of the ocean, a wonderful swimming pool, and everything you need for a relaxing vacation with family and friends. This is a beautiful home.Plenty of space, very close to the beach and the ocean view is perfect. The only thing I didn't care for was the plastic cover on the King size bed. It made noise every time we moved around and woke me up. The house is within walking distance there is a restaurant with a rooftop bar. I would recommend this house.

Overall we were happy with the rental. It was a great location and very nice house. Beds and living room furniture were not the most comfortable. Also we believe there should be more living room furniture and less eating area. All the tables are high tables which is not the best for all people. FUN AT CAROLINA KAI II

WE HAD A GREAT WEEK AT CAROLINA KAI II. BEACH ACCESS FROM THE BACK SIDE OF THE HSE IS EXCELLENT. THE POOL IS A GREAT SIZE COMPARED TO SOME OF THE OTHER HOUSES WE HAVE STAYED IN. THE BEDS SLEPT COMFORTABLY.THE POOL HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED THE DAY WE MOVED IN, BUT SOMEONE CAME A COUPLE DAYS LATER AND CLEANED IT FOR THE WEEK. ONE OF OUR SHOWERS STILL HAD SAND IN THE FLOOR OF IT. WE HAD ANTS IN THE KITCHEN, BUT THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED TO SOME DEGREE.VERY ENJOYABLE TRIP!

We ADORE Karolina Kai II

We absolutely love this house and plan on renting at least once a year going forward. The house is clean, and the owners take the time to replenish the house with new items. That is rare to see in a rental and HIGHLY appreciated by those who rent year to year. The only negative was that the hot tub did not work all week. That was a bummer since we had issues with it the previous year as well.

This house was everything we could ask for. Right by the beach and plenty of entertainment without ever having to get in a car! If it wouldn't have been for the tropical storm that came through they probably would have had to physically remove me from this place! The only things I could say could be improved is the tub drain in the one queen room drains very slow, hot tub jets weren't the greatest, the fridge had a seafood odor that no amount of baking soda would get out, and the linens we paid for all come seranwrapped and you have to do your best to figure out what goes to what room because they didn't not have them matched up for us but in comparison to the excellent time we had all the things provided these were nothing to spoil a good time!

Great week at the beach!

This is a lovely vacation home to spend a week at the beach in! Plenty of room for our group of six. Comfortable beds and a great ocean view! The kitchen needs a little organization, but over all, the home was perfect for us! The only flaw in the whole trip was when the lawn service personnel arrived and entered our pool area unannounced, while we were tanning there, to spray a few weeds and weed whacked all over us! Very rude!

House was clean and ready to be occupied by 3PM.
Beach Realty was great in notifying us when house was ready. When BBQ grill was missing Beach Realty supplied us with a new grill the next day. Could not ask for better service. Everything went well the whole week and house met our needs and expectations. Great location and Would get this house again.

We loved the house! We already booked it again for next year. Awesome living space upstairs, VERY clean and awesome view of the ocean. The only thing we missed was a table to eat at on the 3rd floor balcony and some little tables around the pool. Other than that 5 star!

Carolina Kai II review 10/6/15

The house was great at a reasonable price. It was as close to the beach as we had expected, based on the description. We only had very minor issues. The beds were not very comfortable, which I attributed to the fact that the rental company used plastic mattress covers which were very noisy and made it difficult to sleep. The pillows could have been better quality and the sheets a little softer...after all, it is vacation and a comfy bed is necessary. The baby gate for the house didn't fit on the stairway, it was too small. Luckily, our little ones did ok without it, but I'd recommend getting one that fits well into any opening. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, with the exception of not having larger pots, pans, & skillets in order to cook for a large group. The freezer door also liked to pop open every time someone closed the frige, so that was annoying. The jets to the hot tub were not very strong and the jet covers kept popping off. The house was very clean, there were lots of pool & sand toys, and there was a lot of room in the house. Good view of the beach, considering this house isn't ocean front. Overall, we were satisfied with the property.

The house was beautiful and in a great location. The kitchen and living area were clean. A few issues that are easy to fix with this location...the bedrooms were very dusty and the pool level floors were filthy. There was a mess up with our reservation (I selected linen package but they weren't there). Should have been no big deal, but Beach Realty's handling of this error frustrated me. I would probably stay again but bring my own linens and floor cleaner. Everything else was great!

Wedding Weekend Stay

We had a group of friends from college staying at the house for a friend's wedding that was being held in Southern Shores. The home was beautiful and very clean. Our only frustration was that the home had none of the essentials we expected. We knew there weren't linens included as we hadn't selected that option, but we were expecting basics like hand soap and toilet paper.
