Description

Boasting unparalleled sound and sunset views, this house nestled in the trees is the perfect sound front retreat. Views of the sound in every direction from the open great-room on the top level make this the perfect spot to watch Sanderling's famous sunsets. Take a stroll down the sound front boardwalk to the private pier where you can crab for your dinner, take the kayak with vests provided for a spin, or just sit and relax. The back yard is ideal for a game of corn-hole, or for the kids to run off some energy, away from the road and entrance to the property.

Large bedrooms provide space for privacy, while the long dining table and great-room are excellent places for family dinners and game nights. A short walk of about 350 yards on a wooded path will take you to the community beach access point for that perfect day at the ocean. With this house you get the best of both worlds.

Perfect Family Vacation

We loved biking(we rented) in Sanderling with the beautiful trees overhanging the roads. We loved fishing off the pier and watching the beautiful sunsets every night. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully updated which in my opinion really makes a vacation. Tons of storage, beach chairs, high chairs, a pack n play. It was so wonderful. You do need to rent a beach cart if you don’t have one. The walk isn’t bad but with littles it can be. The community pool was peaceful and even had a kiddie pool!

My only suggestion is more TVs. There is one in the living room and one in the den. While this wouldn’t keep me from renting again - some of the older kids would have appreciated it especially since we had some bad weather.

All in all, we were so happy and can’t wait to return.

Great Memories Made

Had so much fun at our beautiful and scenic beach house! Our grandchildren enjoying crabbing off the dock every day. We kayaked, saw a deer, lots of butterflies, jumping fish at sunset, gorgeous skies at sunset, and loved closing out each evening talking, laughing, and singing on the dock. The beach was an easy walk. Found lots of shells and sand crabs. Played Yatzhee, Uno, and completed several puzzles. Visited the Wright Memorial and played putt putt.
The sleeping accommodations were great. Our favorite beach house so far!

Sunset Royale is an amazing property. The rental property had everything we needed which helped make our vacation truly relaxing. The renovations to the property were awesome. We have been vacationing in OBX for the past seven years and this properly was by far the best property we've ever rented. Another Royal Week at the Sunset

This is the second time we have stayed at this beach house with family and friends. It truly is a wonderful home in a perfect and convenient location. The private pier on the sound is amazing and it is such a short walk to the beach. The best of both worlds. The house is kept clean and well-stocked. We will be back!

My family and I had a great vacation here! It is a beautiful place and a beautiful home. My only suggestions would be that the Master Queen bathroom shower clogs very easily when showering. Other than that, the dock was absolutely stunning for sunsets and crabbing at night. The house was comfortable and had so much space for my family!

Wonderful home, would rent again if minor changes were made.

We truly enjoyed this home. The location is perfect for biking to Duck or a quick drive to Corolla for groceries, putt putt or the drive on the beach. We loved the private dock. From morning coffee to crabbing in the evening and oh those sunsets! My only complaint is one queen bed is like sleeping in a taco, it must be updated before I rent this property again.

Wonderful, relaxing week

My wife and I stayed at this property for a week in August, along with our two sons and their spouses and kids. It was a perfect arrangement. We loved the living area and the deck that looked out on the sound. We loved our private little dock, where we went crabbing every day and kayaking. A short walk across the road to the beach. Beautiful sunsets. We even loved the occasional afternoon rains, which we watched from covered deck. I would certainly stay at this property again.

Relaxing soundfront retreat

Perfect in every way! We enjoyed our week so much, we already booked next year's week! The home is spacious and tastefully adorned. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the dock and kayaking on the sound. Had a great time in the Outer Banks. I will go back down to OBX in the future. Only thing that would have been a little better was to have some of the cob webs here and there around the house removed or a Webster brush made available so you could get some of them yourself. one was to many for my daughter. Overall though everything was great. Very easy check in and out.

Above and Beyond Expectations - exceptional dock

There could be no better location for a vacation home. We loved the dock on the sound and the short walk to the beach.
Linens were provided taking even that bit of responsibility from us.
The management company couldn't have made it easier. We never had to step foot in an office.
Overall, an excellent holiday home making for an unforgettable holiday vacation.

Great time at Sunset Royale

We greatly enjoyed or 7 night stay at Sunset Royale. The location was excellent, very quiet yet close to the beach. We were happily surprised with the 2 outdoor showers, the life jackets and beach chairs available for our use. We had a broken trashcan in the kitchen and it was replaced within hours of our phone call to the rental agent. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Two things we didn't like: it wouldn't hurt to leave an extra roll of toilet tissue in at least some of the bathrooms so that we didn't have to hustle out to the store right away; the exterior seating was filthy and there were cobwebs (and some active webs) in the doorframe of every exterior door. It wouldn't hurt to sweep all the doorframes so that our first greeting at the front door wasn't a web and dangling spider in our faces....that was obviously not a brand new web. Everything else was great. Also, this is our first time rental so this may be standard, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that there were no bath mats provided.

Great Family Fun in Duck

It had been twenty years since our last visit to Duck, so I was not prepared for the increase in traffic due to the building boom. Once we arrived, the fun was non-stop. The house had the prefect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for our 3 grown children and their spouses. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals. The location was ideal and the sunsets magnificent!

This home has a great location with sound views and easy access to the ocean! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! It was great to use the Kayak! A few recommendations..instead of the ipod a wireless speaker would be great, it didn't fit the newer phones. Adding TVs to each room would be awesome even if it's the TV with a DVD player and not cable it gives an option. Loved keyless entry, however I would have liked to have my pool pass left in the home instead I had to go to the check in office to get it. Overall this was a great home with awesome sunsets!#makingmemories

Relaxing Family Vacation

House was well cared for, clean and nice. Very spacious for our family of 5, loved the books, movies, puzzles and "bonus room" downstairs. Kayak, corn hole game and beach gear were great too. Beautiful sound views and short walk to the beach, best of both worlds as far as location. Quiet cul de sac as well. Bargain for your money, our family had a great vacation in this home.
