Located on the Oceanside of Duck Road this property is nestled in the beautiful community of Sound Sea Village reminiscent of fishing villages in the days just oozes character and relaxation providing a once in a lifetime experience. This home is a short walk down to the ocean (about 325 yards) and will offer the most beautiful Sunset Views from the upper deck which overlooks the pool too. The spacious open floor plan on the upper level invites everyone to gather in the great room and flows right into the kitchen and nook eating area with seating for 10, there is a half bath, and the recently updated Pergo flooring couples nicely with the original exposed wood ceiling. 2 Keurig coffee makers and 2 full size refrigerators. Keyless entry make check-in a snap (long gone are the days of picking up keys at the office) just get your code and drive straight to your vacation home.

Mid-level is the main sleeping quarters, again providing ample space for all. Exit the slider to your outdoor oasis with a 12X24 private pool after a sun soaked day at the beach, alleviate all stresses in the relaxing hot tub, or prepare some delicious steaks on the outdoor gas grill. We had a great time in this house with our group. We loved the deck view especially, but there is a lot of traffic, seen and heard from that deck, which didn't bother us.

Beautiful home!

We just spent a wonderful week with friends in this house. It provided plenty of space for 7 adults with lots of room to spare!! Very clean, nicely updated, wonderful game room and outdoor pool area. The patio sliding glass door out to the pool could probably be repaired or replaced (it's a tough slider) and we would recommend renting a golf cart -- if only for assistance to/from the beach (although it is also a fun way to get around town). The walk to the beach is not a far (maybe 200 yards to the sand dune), which isn't bad but it is a gravel/stone road and in the heat/humidity by the time you get the to dunes it can be quite exhausting, especially if pulling a cart -- and then there is the hike up and over the sand dune in very soft sand...definitely a workout -- so the golf cart was definitely a plus in transporting us and our belongings to the beach!

With that said, we highly recommend this rental and would most definitely rent this house again.

We loved the location of this place. The view is ok. You just have to be use to the sound of traffic. It is a little walk to the beach but worth it. The rental company was great the grill was not filled and they had someone out there the same day . Overall a wonderful vacation.

Duck Life is the life

We were very pleased with the house and all of its appointments. We were within easy walking distance of the ocean. I was delighted to have all of my loved ones, including our dog together. My only negative would be that the carpet in some areas was quite stained. I would definitely return.

Perfect Location, Perfect Home

The space was perfect for our group of friends. Loved having a pool, hot tub, and beach just a quick walk away. The upper deck had great views of the sound. It was a quick drive to the Duck Town Center area and the location made it easy to experience the other towns like Corolla and Kitty Hawk. The staff and owner were amazing. When the property was missing its cornhole game, they credited my account enough money to rent a set from Kitty Hawk Kites. Also, I loved being able to my dog there!

Being close to Duck Village is so nice to just go into town and wonder through the many stores and gift shops and then find that perfect place to have lunch as well.
