Nice week

House was clean and had all we needed. Very comfortable and great access to beach and stores. Weather ended up great so all good on that front. We especially liked being able to walk back to the house in 5 minutes which was super since we had a baby with us

We had a very nice stay at the Aylesbury house in Duck, NC. The house has a nice location that allowed us to access the ocean and the bay. The house is clean and simple and it met all of our needs for a nice beach vacation.

Beach vacation 2021

Location was perfect easy walk to the beach. Very nice house only complaint woukd have been the upstairs never cooled down was very warm other than that house was nice.

The beach house was immaculate! Definitely will be going back.

It was a wonderful first beach house experience, my kids loved every second of it ! The house has everything you could imagine and more !

Couldn't be happier with the house and amenities. Quick walk to the beach or the sound. We crabbed and soaked in the sun our whole stay. The lower deck off the master bedroom is awesome!! Saw many deer and birds.

Beach week

We had a great vacation with perfect weather. The home is a short walk to the beach and since we weren’t interested in going to the village due to Covid concerns, the longer distance from shops etc. was not an issue. The biggest negative to this property is that all the beds are too soft from age and do not provide good back support. It would also be nice to have a couple extra beach chairs for guests to use. Everything else was fine.

Cute house in Duck

House was very clean and had lots of kitchen pieces that made cooking easy. Really liked that the house was secluded a little from the street. Decks were great for relaxing. Couch with wooden back that was a pullout was not comfortable to use, but that was the only negative I found in the home.

Our home away from home

This was our fourth year staying at Aylesbury. It’s really become our home away from home in the Outer Banks. The home is comfortable, pleasant, and suits my extended family’s needs very well for the week we’re there.

I’ve seen some complaints about the brush around the house. We personally enjoy the privacy that it provides, especially when relaxing on the deck outside.

The AC unit for the upstairs living/kitchen area has trouble keeping a comfortable temperature during the heat of the day, but the ceiling fan and provided portable fans do a fine job of keeping things comfortable.

Maintenance has always been polite and responsive to our occasional needs.

We’re already booked for our fifth year here in 2020 and look forward to returning.

Aylesbury

Stayed one day and were evacuated for hurricane Florence. Property was fine for our group. Property is overgrown with trees & vines. Needs to be cleaned up for better visibility from the road. Hard to find it for all the wild growth around it.

We had a great week at the Outer Banks. No complaints yards from the beach, just a few miles from Corolla and everything in between. Definitely would recommend this home and will probably stay here again in 2019!

A nice vacation week

Spacious beach house. Great amenities (kitchen appliances and laundry room). Sunny and bright inside. Private. Comfortable beds. Nice carpet in bedrooms. Bathrooms could've been a bit fresher. Wish there would've been a couple of rolls of toilet paper and some bathroom soap just to tide us over until we got to the store. Would stay here again. We had a great vacation.

SHRUBBERY NEEDS TRIMMING TO MAKE THE HOME MORE WELCOMING UPON ARRIVAL. THOUGH OVERGROWN AND WILD, IT DID AFFORD A NICE PRIVACY BUFFER BETWEEN HOMES. NEEDED AIRING OUT. THANKS FOR THE NEW BEDROOM CARPETING,FIXED DECK RAILINGS, AND WATER HEATER. KITCHEN NEEDS TO BE BETTER STOCKED WITH POTS AND PANS. THIS HOME WAS AN EXCELLENT DEAL FOR THE TIME WE RENTED AND HAS A VERY NICE UPPER LEVEL.

The Location is Perfect

What are the three rules for real estate? Location, location, location. The property's proximity to both the beach and downtown Duck are great and the community pool is an added bonus. Some things that could be improved: Landscaping needed to be cleaned up. Some simple trimming would do wonders for the property as would more interior cleaning. But other than a few updates to the inside, the property is great. We hopefully will be able to continue to rent here in the future.

Great beach house

This is perfect as a beach house. It has a laid back feel, very nice bedrooms and bathrooms, a comfortable living room perfect for playing games, a sizable dining table. The kitchen is cramped with limited storage space for food. The overall feel of the house is not high end - some renters who expect the 5 star hotel experience won't be satisfied. But it's very close to the beach and we had a great time there.
