This lovely, island style home, with its privacy, hot tub and great ocean views, will leave you with memories that last a lifetime. Ground floor entry leads to the Mid level with 3 queen master bedrooms (all with private baths) and laundry area. Upper level offers large, open and airy great room full of windows, a spacious kitchen, powder room, screened porch and steps up to the crow’s nest. Enjoy outdoor surround sound, and find your own little piece of heaven where the stars appear almost close enough to touch! Short walk to the beach.

Mid-Level: 3 Queen Masters, Washer & Dryer in Hall Closet, Access to Deck w/Swing & Hot Tub.

Beautiful Home Away From Home

The house was beautifully and well maintained. We could tell that owners love their home. The amenities were perfect. And we loved each having our own bathroom. The hot tub was a very nice bonus. We saw the wild horses every day from this home. It was the perfect home for our stay.
The only thing that would have made it better is if PM company would have sent someone out to fix the dishwasher that wasn't working on our arrival.

This is the second time we stayed at this property. The location is great and very private. Overall, the home is well maintained for a rental. Lots of amenities and everything was as described in the listing. The cleanliness upon arrival could have been better, but generally acceptable. You'll see lots of horses from this property. The beach is a short walk or drive from the house.

Good place to relax!

Secluded enough to relax. Wi-Fi was down on arrival but was working within 48 hours. Hot tub was awesome. Something kept getting into the trash at night.

Perfect Vacation

Everything about this rental was great. House was inviting and clean. Kitchen was stocked with appliances and utensils. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Plenty of beach equipment. Hot tub and carpet were new. Crow's nest was safe. We enjoyed all the spaces like the screened porch and deck areas. Loved house came with beach parking passes so we could enjoy driving to and relaxing on the beach. We've been visiting OBX for 20 years and Luv Shack is by far our favorite house.

Honeymoon at the Luv Shack

We had a fantastic honeymoon stay at the Luv Shack! Our dog was able to go with us which meant a ton bc she’s our furbaby. The house was comfortable and clean. The realty company even included a couple is sweet bonuses in the bag of goodies for our furbaby.

Beautiful house in great location

Very nice house on 4x4beach. House was very clean. Hot tub didn’t work and neither did outside shower. I reported both to rental company so hopefully both of these things get fixed for future visitors. Rental company advertises a welcome bag but we did not receive one even after reporting it. We still had a great vacation and enjoyed this house despite these things.

Great Escape to OBX!

This beach house was perfect for us. Peaceful and plenty of space and excellent views from the multiple decks. The horses were always in and around the house so easy to see. Short 4x4 trip to the beach made packing up stuff very convenient. WiFi did not work while we were there but it was seemingly out of the realty company's control

Ridge Retreat

Staying here was kind of like being in the mountains and the beach at the same time. Wonderful views of Swan Beach in the top of live oaks. Quality built!

Loving the Luv Shack

Carova is the perfect beach for our antisocial, nature loving family, and The Luv Shack was the perfect house for us. The 3 master suites ensured no one felt slighted by sleeping sleeping arrangements, the spacious living area provided ample space for family game nights, and the screened in sun porch allowed us to enjoy the night breezes without being attacked by bugs. Watching the stars come out from the widow's peak was one of my daughters favorite night activities, and my older son enjoyed the hot tub immensely. The house was extremely well equipped and maintained, and our rental company (Beach Realty) was more than accommodating. All in all, a perfect trip for us.

Relaxing stay at Luv Shavk

Romantic getaway in beautiful 4wheel drive area. Luv shack is well appointed with comfy furniture, nicely equipped kitchen and just a short walk to a quiet beach. Do bring your own water for cooking and drinking, 4wheel drive is really important, also make sure your vehicle has enough clearance - trucks and jeeps are best.

Love the Luv Shack

The Luv Shack is a fantastic property located about 5 minutes from the beach. It is nestled in between trees and offers both privacy from neighbors and beautiful views. The beach house was very clean and comfortable with views from many windows and decks. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms with ensuites worked well for our family of six. We enjoyed all of the beach accessories and chairs in the lower storage area. At the end of the day, the hot tub was a great feature. Our family also enjoyed the many board games and videos provided. The highlight for me was the beauty of the landscape and the proximity of the wild Spanish mustangs. We have come home with beautiful photos of horses gathered on the shoreline at sunrise and once in a lifetime memories. For anyone seeking a peaceful escape, I highly recommend this property. We regret not booking a second week and also not bringing our dogs as it is pet friendly!

Wonderful yet challenging vacation

First of all, the home is wonderful. Its clean, has everything you need, showers are hot and great water pressure, and the beds are so comfy. The location is great. We saw horses everyday. The management company was great, we needed a small maintenance issue and they came the same day. My only complaints had nothing to do with the property. There are many mosquitos so please bring some protection for your body. Lots of wasps also. Please be sure to have a 4x4, sand driving is challenging to say the least. I personally did not care for it. My daughter loved it on the other hand. My only complaint about the home was the linen service. Sheets provided were fabulous but towels...for 6 people, they sent only 6 towels. Granted there is a washing machine there but that is just not enough towels. My teenage girls have long hair and require a towel just for their hair alone. The towels are not big and plush so please ask for more towels. Last reminder, no toilet paper, we left several rolls but keep in mind it is not provided. Don't forget to bring. Otherwise...we loved our stay. Small things are small things, overall...great place.

Towels are provided one per occupancy of the home, additional towels can be rented. Toilet paper and other toiletries are not provided.We are so glad your family enjoyed the home. 2017 OBX Vacay

This was our first trip to the OBX, and we couldn't have been more pleased! The house was perfect! The kitchen was pleasantly stocked with more than enough items to make cooking easy! The grill outside was in excellent shape, actually, I think it was new! We enjoyed all the books, and several of the movies on a rainy day. We saw several horses, some deer, and a wild donkey from the decks. We absolutely hated to leave when the time came. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We hope to return someday!
