Description

Mayflower is a large family-friendly home, beautifully appointed, located on the oceanside in Corolla's Ocean Sands Section 0. This 7 bedroom, 5.5 bath home, with private pool (12'x24') and hot tub is sure to please everyone in your group. Enjoy the lake views, relax in the sun on one of the decks, and take a short stroll to the oceanfront.

A great kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a full refrigerator with icemaker, range/stove, microwave and dishwasher will make the cooking experience enjoyable. The ample dining and spacious great room combine for a terrific entertaining and gathering space with easy access to the Ship's Watch. You won't be short on entertainment; there are flat screen TV's throughout the home, a media room with a 60' TV, theatre seating and air hockey table. The rec room has a pool table, foosball and kitchenette with sink, microwave and full refrigerator for snacks and cold drinks. Three Master Suites top off this gorgeous home.

Guests have access to a 7 acre stock fishing lake, community pool, tennis courts, walking trails and bike paths. Stroll to the beach or go to the town of Corolla to catch a movie, dine at a local restaurant or shop at local boutiques.

Nice spacious home

We love this house. This is our 2nd year staying in this exact house, and our 3rd in this neighborhood. It is a very short walk out to the beach and there are a lot of good sized rooms, space, and things for the kids to do. The only negative this I would say about this property is the condition of the beds. The mattresses are very old and springy and definitely need to be replaced in most, if not all, of the bedrooms.

Best bang for your buck.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Mayflower. Location was perfect. Plenty of space and lots of activities for the kids (air hockey, pool, foosball, swimming, hot tub, basketball, etc). Overall, the house was clean with a few minor things that didn't really bother us (stain on a rug and foosball table looked like someone had spilled something on it when we arrived). Overall, we were very happy and would stay here again in the future.

Perfect house for our girls’ trip

We kicked off our summer by gathering all of the girls in our close-knit family (ages tween - 50s) and relaxing in this gorgeous, comfortable house. Easy walk to the beach. Tons of comfortable spaces indoors for lounging around. Sparkling pool. Well-appointed kitchen. Highly recommend!!

Great Vacation Home! Perfect Location!

We enjoyed our first time visiting the Outer Banks and our stay at the Mayflower. The house has everything you need and the location is perfect, about 4 minute walk to the beach. The house has a lot of amenities. Our kids really enjoyed the air hockey and pool table. My youngest son enjoyed shooting hoops on the basketball goal at the house. We took a few walks around the trail around the lake as well. It was nice to spend time outdoors and take a break from the "electronic" world we live in. The hot tub was great too! The pool was a sort of cool based on the time of the year we visited, but we did have a warm day near 85 degrees that the pool felt good after a long day at the beach. The community around Ocean Sands is very nice. We played tennis a few days and rented bikes and rode around. Corolla has a really nice greenway to walk and ride bikes. The area has some nice shops and restaurants. I recommend driving to Duck and eating outside at Sunset Grille (best at sunset).

Only recommendations would be to upgrade/replace the BBQ grill. We grille3d and ate in most nights and the grill worked, but was older and had seen a lot of use.

The last few days we were there, we were woken up about 6:30am each day with construction on a new house directly behind us. It was cooler and cloudy those days and we didn't stay around the house much as we went exploring lighthouses and made the best of it, but if you stayed at the house, it probably would not be very relaxing with the noise from the construction.

Overall, great vacation! We all agreed that we like OBX better than the Florida gulf beaches where we usually go. Can't wait to plan our next trip.

The week at the OBX

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower. It was clean, spacious and convenient to the fishing lake and the ocean. The hot tub and pool were very clean. We did not use the community pool because the weather was a little cool. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Mayflower Stay June 20-27

We stayed at the Mayflower in Corolla for a week. The pool and hot tub were great. There were some minor inconveniences (propane tank empty when we got there, basketball net was broken on arrival, cable boxes didn't work, screen door was broken on arrival, the house could use a fresh coat of paint in some areas). However, the realty company did their best to fix these issues promptly. They brought a new propane tank immediately, put a new basketball net on and tried to fix the cable box- which didn't get fixed until the final day. We enjoyed: being so close to the beach, the pool table, the air conditioning was great, the kitchen was stocked with all necessary supplies and the house was generally clean.

A wonderful home to house 14 family members. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute to the community pool, and just walk to the backyard to get into the house pool and hot tub. I'm a runner and the beautiful running path was perfect and very safe.

Relaxing Visit

We really enjoyed our week's stay at the Mayflower. It was clean and very relaxing. We would definitely stay there again. They could use some more kitchen supplies such as sharp knives and pots and pans. We ended up going and buying our own.
