Looking for an affordable vacation home with fantastic amenities and a convenient location near the beach access? Ocean Sounds is the place for you! This spacious and well-maintained home in the charming Town of Duck features a private pool, hot tub, and game room, so there's no shortage of fun for everyone. If you're looking to enjoy a slower pace, head over to the Duck Town Boardwalk that's less than half a mile away for a soundside sunset stroll.

Enjoy the ocean breeze from one of the many large decks this home offers. There's nothing like watching a colorful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean! On cooler days, cozy up in front of the gas fireplace (Oct-April) in the top level living area. Internet access, movies, books, games, and puzzles are available to keep your family entertained. Ocean Sounds is located in the popular Duck community of Schooner Ridge which offers an indoor pool, 2 outdoor pools, tennis, a fitness center, and clubhouse.

This Duck vacation home is approximately 970 feet away from the wide, pristine beaches of Duck - some of the most beautiful on the OBX. Also enjoy Duck Village's wide selection of wonderful restaurants and unique shops. You're sure to find this coastal village both welcoming and charming.

For your convenience, this home provides sheets and towels.

This cottage may accept mini-stays. Please call for availability.

The private, unheated 30'x14' pool is available from the second week of May to the second week of October.

The 2 Schooner Ridge community outdoor pools opening and closing dates for 2024 are TBD. The indoor community pool is open year-round 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (off-season hours vary).

Top Level: Living area with large flat screen TV, stereo/CD player and gas fireplace, kitchen with island and three bar stools, dining area for 10, sliding door to deck with ocean views, king en suite with flat screen TV and jet tub/shower, sliding door to front deck.

Fantastic location, especially with all the amenities Schooner Ridge provides!! The kitchen was great and had a great variety of small appliances! All great bedding and living spaces. The house overall was great, however was showing wear and tear.

Awesome house! Indoor furniture in good shape/comfy, stocked kitchen, great pool and hot tub. Great kitchen! Very well stocked! Only downside, better outdoor furniture recommended. This house is perfectly located halfway between beach and town/boardwalk on the sound – all walking distance.

Awesome location! Easy walk to many activities, shops and restaurants. Amazing beach access and the beach pool was a favorite place to visit! The community pool and beach access were wonderful. The parts that had been updated were great! We loved the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped. The newer dishwasher was great! The stove and refrigerator also need to be replaced as they are vey old. The living areas with the newer floors were awesome, but the carpet on the stairs is worn. The bedrooms were all fine. This home had a lot of amenities that we loved.

The Schooner Ridge area was great and the location of the house was perfect. The house it self was great. The pool and outdoor space needed clean up and maintenance. The kitchen had everything we needed and it worked well. Beds and sofas were great.

Beautiful clean house! Fully stocked kitchen with absolutely anything that you could possibly need. We always have a crew of friends when we stay here and everyone is very comfortable. The beds are cozy and comfortable with good sized bedrooms. The kids love the huge bunk room that's close to the pool table. The hot tub works perfectly and the pool is a must have! Full sized very clean washer and dryer. An easy walk to the beach with the option to drive and park in the community lot. Another easy walk is to the town of Duck. Tons of shopping on the boardwalk restaurants coffee shops live music and amazing sunsets on the sound. We return to this home every year and will continue to do so!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Ocean Sounds. Fantastic location: 5 minute walk to the ocean boardwalk/live music shops and ice cream. Amenities: Great sized pool with tons of seating and the hot tub seemed brand new or updated. Plenty of space for a large group. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook multiple dinners and make drinks. Cable TV worked well in our 2nd floor master suite. Nice sized washer and dryer so we could wash our clothes before we left for home. We’re really glad we chose to stay here and will come back!

My family was immensely satisfied with the accommodations at Ocean Sounds. We easily fit three cars in the driveway and could have added a fourth. The house interior is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Beds and pillows were comfortable bathrooms were clean hot water was plentiful. The pool was a good size the hot tub was clean with powerful jets and the backyard area was surrounded with mature trees. An adorable fawn visited us several mornings of our stay; it was easily visible through the kitchen windows. Our pre-school age nephew loved the toys and books that are in the loft area. The adults in our group all agree that the kitchen is well-appointed and has everything you need for making food and drinks at home. We also appreciated the large washer and dryer in the separate laundry room. The beach is an easy five minute walk from the house but we usually threw all our gear in the truck dropped it off then parked in the community lot. We didn't use any of the clubhouse amenities (except the adjacent playground which the nephew loved) but we did enjoy the oceanfront pool and seating area. tl;dr: This place has everything you want or need in a vacation rental!
