Enjoy an evening of music, conversation, and a few delicate refreshments at this opening reception for an acclaimed and talented artist who is landing on the Outer Banks. The Opening Reception of Adele Castillo's Portrait Exhibit is hosted by the Dare County Arts Council, and is an opportunity for art lovers to get a first peek at a new exhibit that will run all October long.

Adele Castillo lives in Virginia and has spent most of her life in the Hampton Roads area, and after teaching for 19 years at area Virginia Beach Schools, she settled into a full-time job as an artist. Adele currently maintains a working studio and classroom for adult students at the Crossroads Arts Center, where she works on her vibrantly colorful works that showcase snippets of everyday life. Passionate about animals, her gorgeous portraits regularly feature her furry four-legged friends, and have been praised for their inventive use of bright colors. During the opening reception, art fans can enjoy a nice selection of hors d'oeuvres while perusing her gorgeous paintings. This event is free and open to the public, and is held at the Dare County Arts Council’s main site in the heart of scenic Manteo.
