Half the fun of discovering the diverse wildlife of the Outer Banks is capturing your memories for years to come, and this unique class will show visitors the joys of the traditional art of nature journaling. Utilized by explorers and adventurers of centuries ago, nature journaling is a fun and educational way to keep track of your wild explorations – both on the Outer Banks, and at home long after a vacation is over.

The Nature Journaling class is hosted by the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, which has a picturesque setting for local wildlife on the edge of the Currituck Sound in the Northern Outer Banks town of Corolla. During this unique and roughly one-hour class, attendees will learn how to combine handwritten notes and drawings to document the unique wildlife that thrives in this coastal landscape. From the amazing critters that call the Northern Outer Banks home, to the historic landscapes that are prominent in the region, this class will show students how to fill in the blanks and create lasting memories that will linger after their stay in the Outer Banks is over. The class is free and open to folks ages 7 and up, and advanced registration is required to attend.
