The Light Station Talk is hosted by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and takes place at the Hatteras Island Visitor Center Pavilion, which is found just a few steps away from the lighthouse itself. During this engaging session, visitors will learn all there is to know about this famous lighthouse that is renowned as the tallest brick lighthouse in the country. The lighthouse has generations of admirers and is a symbol of the Outer Banks, but it has nevertheless had more than its fair share of brushes with Mother Nature. In danger of being eroded and in the latter 20th century, and moved to its present location in 1999, visitors will learn all the facts and figures that make this area landmark so special. The talk is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to settle in, relax, and enjoy a little insight into this beloved attraction on the Outer Banks.
