Kids can create their own coastal masterpiece while enjoying a fun and enjoyable artistic tutorial at this summertime Art Party that is hosted by the Dare County Arts Council.

This July 5th session is led by acclaimed local artist Mari Beth LaRose, and during the fun-filled two hour session, students will learn how to create a stunning dolphin painting, which perfectly captures the local OBX coastal scene. The instruction is hands-on and step-by-step, to make it easy for students of all ages to learn the process, and at the end of the class, kids will go home with their very own 11” x 14” dolphin painting. The class is held at the Dare County Arts Center in the heart of Manteo, which serves as a lovely venue for delving into the thriving OBX arts scene. The cost of the class is $30 for DCAC members and $35 for nonmembers, and this includes all the supplies required to create the painting, as well as a light snack and a drink during the class itself. The Art Party is open to kids of all ages, although children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Come discover the joy of OBX creativity, and join in this July Art Party for a big dose of summer fun.
