Spend the day with Captain Michael on the Southern Run and find out what fishing on the Outer Banks is all about!
These waters hold game fish like Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Bluefish, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and more, depending on the season. You can expect to do some spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
The Southern Run is a 24’ Bay Rider center console with space for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. The captain will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, which means all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. You can take home some of the fish you catch, assuming they’re legal to harvest.
It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.
Southern Run will provide you with a relaxed, fun filled day with family and friends. So, how about booking that trip?
