If you’re an experienced fisherman with all the gear you need and know how to catch the fish, you just need to get there…  This boat and driver is for you.  I am not a fishing guide. You can cast for live bait (borrow my cast net) or you pick up your bait at the local bait shop a few hundred feet from where we depart. If you just want an inexpensive boat and a driver to get you to the spot you’ve been to many times before, this is your boat and driver. You’re in control of when, where, how, and how long you fish. You can make a firm plan of what you want to do or you can play it by ear as the day goes.

Your family wants to do some fishing, but also some tubing, stop for lunch at at dockside restaurant for breakfast or lunch we are the perfect choice. We offer self-guided fishing (which should tell you I am not a fishing guide, rather I have a boat and take folks to fish, or do recreational boating adventures of your choice, a stop at a sandy beach island, or a dockside restaurant for breakfast lunch or just ice cream and a walk in downtown Manteo or at the docks in Wanchese. See some dolphins as we tour about… This laid-back approach to a day of boating activities may be perfect for you.  Note that if you want to go on a traditional fish-catching trip, there are lots of great guides around here who can put you on the fish.  I’m just not that guy.

This captain’s goal is to allow you to have a few hours or a day on the water as seems the best to fit your family for this trip.

Our boat is a new 25 foot Carolina Skiff center console. It can take up to 6 guests.  Coolers, dry boxes, and two bimini tops for lots of shade.
