Since 1974 Greenleaf Gallery has served as a showcase for original work in various media, created by professional painters, printmakers and craft artists. On display every season is a “comprehensive selection” of paintings; American artglass, fine functional and decorative ceramics; designer jewelry; woodwork and bronze sculpture.

Greenleaf boasts Eastern NC’s largest selection of functional and sculptural glass by established and emerging American glass artists. Additionally, an entire room in the gallery is devoted to wearable art, including handcrafted jewelry and fiber art as handbags and woven or silk scarves.

All work in the gallery is by American artists, with an emphasis on those from North Carolina and Virginia, including the work of award-winning OBX artist and gallery co-owner, Rick Tupper.

In addition to showcasing a changing collection of exceptional artwork, Tupper, along with his wife and partner, Didi, host special individual and group showings of works by local and regional artists, with each show running about five weeks.

And a unique annual event you won’t want to miss is Greenleaf’s American Artglass show, held in June. The only one of its kind on the Outer Banks, the show features an exiting and diverse collection of works by the medium’s top artists, representing numerous states.

Located at the south end of Duck, on the east side, Greenleaf is open six days a week, Spring, Summer and Fall and for long weekends during November and December.
