Young and old visitors alike will be fascinated with this special educational session that’s held at one of the most scenic destinations along the Outer Banks – the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education in the heart of Corolla. Dragon Hunters will lead explorers on an expedition for the beloved dragonflies that frequent the wild landscape, and will be an unforgettable and fun event that visitors of all ages will adore.

Corolla is home to a wide array of wildlife along the beaches, along the sound, and in the wooded landscapes found in between. This special session concentrates on the area’s population of dragonflies – a curious creature that is nevertheless fun to observe, and fun to “hunt.” Attendees will learn all about the meaning behind the dragonflies’ bright colors, will discover the places where they live, and will explore their various lifecycles while going on a hunt of their own for these unique creatures which are found all around the Currituck Heritage Park which borders the Wildlife Education Center. Fun for all ages, this roughly 1-hour event is free and open to the public, although attendees will want to register in advance online or via phone at 252.453.0221 ex. 1 to secure their spot.
