The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Whalehead in Historic Corolla, and the residents of Corolla are planning a Trunk or Treat event for Creepy in Corolla again this year. Children from all over are invited to visit the Historic Corolla Village for Trick or Treating on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, 2017, from 6:00-8pm. Adults and businesses are invited to be the “Trunks” again this year for our second annual event!

Trick-or-Treat-ers can visit the grounds of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse to see if any of the 140 year old buildings are inhabited and whether the keepers of old are pleased to see children on site after dark; they can walk among curmudgeonly Corolla Trunk or Treaters for a spook and candy, and can to cross the Park’s decrepit, haunted bridge, knock on the door of the Whalehead Club to see if any 100 year old treats remain inside; hop on a hay ride (…if they come out of the 1925 historic home alive!); and then finish with their final knock..on the door of Mr. and Mrs. Knight’s Boathouse..

Interested? Click the “Interested” or “Going” button on our Creepy in Corolla 2017 Facebook invite. We’ll use that to communicate about any weather concerns for trick or treaters.

Locals, residents, lovers of scary, and businesses are invited to come with decorated vehicles and candy to spook children in the “Trunk or Treat” spot in the parking lots between the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. Click here if you’re planning on bringing a Trunk or Treat Vehicle. We’ll text you any if there are any weather-related changes: https://goo.gl/forms/vrrirB8qEIV2YDkx2

This event if for children of all ages, for folks who don’t have trick or treaters at their house but wish they did, local businesses that have goodies to give away to help promote their businesses, and for people who love some spooky fun!

Bring a friend or a neighbor too and get creative! #CreepyinCorolla2017 – don’t miss it!
