Celebrate the autumn season at Harvest Heyday, a favorite annual event at the stunning Elizabethan Gardens that invites visitors of all ages to sample the flavors, colors, and fun of the fall in one of the most scenic destinations on the Outer Banks.

The all-day event features a world of activities that are designed with the Garden's youngest visitors in mind. Patrons will enjoy a number of games and crafts, including crafts and educational stations, face painting, a hay bale maze, and hay rides through the Gardens that regularly depart throughout the day. There will also be plenty of music, a story-time hour, and bonfires with hot cider and pumpkin pie to get everyone in an autumn mood. This event is free for members and friends of the Elizabethan Gardens, and the gardens will open its doors at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. The landscape will also feature plenty of pretty fall foliage in the form of blooming camellias and other seasonal displays, and visitors will want to linger to peruse the gardens and take it all in.
